WWE is ready for its 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony on April 17, and Stephanie McMahon is headlining this year. It is a dream for any WWE star to earn an induction into that class of elites, but judging by McMahon’s reaction, it seems like her case was different.
Even with everything she has done in WWE, McMahon said the honor still feels unreal. On her podcast, What’s Your Story?, she called it the biggest moment of her career. She has been part of WWE since childhood, worked as an on-screen character, won championships, and also played a major role behind the scenes.

But Triple H shared a more emotional side of the story. He remembered when The Undertaker surprised Stephanie with the Hall of Fame news at Wrestlepalooza 2025. Instead of being excited right away, she felt unsure.
“The moment when he starts to say Hall of Fame, and I can see your expression change from wow, or what should be wow, to ‘I don’t deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, why should I…why are you putting me in the Hall of Fame?’” Triple H said to McMahon.
Triple H explained that Stephanie has always been very humble and often downplays her achievements. But he strongly believes she has earned this honor. He added that people behind the scenes have always seen her as one of the most deserving names in WWE history because of everything she has done over the years.
“It’s just funny because to everybody else at least, especially anybody that was behind the scenes thought this whole thing, like you’re one of the most deserving people to go in of anybody, especially in that time frame when we were all in…the contributions from childhood so to speak, all the way through, of course it’s not only deserving it’s impossible to not to have you in there in some manner. But your instinct was, ‘I don’t deserve that,'” Triple H said.
