Danhausen Reflects on His Lack of TV Time in AEW

Danhausen has become an overnight superstar during his short time in WWE, and recently opened up about why he thinks he didn’t get as much TV time at AEW.

Speaking to Peter Rosenberg during a recent episode of Cheap Heat, Danhausen reflected on his time in AEW, and corrected Rosenberg when he said Danhausen was seen “a lot.” The superstar joked that he maybe appeared “maybe three or four” times in an actual AEW program.

“Maybe three or four (times I wrestled in AEW),” Danhausen said (via Fightful). When Rosenberg said he remembers seeing Danhausen a lot, the star replied “No! No, you didn’t. You definitely did not. You saw me online a lot. Perception is reality. Danhausen would do vlogs backstage on his own and do videos with his enemies and his friendhausens, and he’d put those out there so maybe it seemed like I was doing more than I was.

“I was not there. I was doing the independent scenes. That’s what I was doing. About three a weekend or doing conventions and some sort like New York Comic Con and things like that.”

Judging by his tone, Danhausen doesn’t sound too happy about his lack of time in AEW. The star was with the company for four years, between 2022-26, before eventually leaving. In February, he debuted with WWE at Elimination Chamber, and although he was met with mixed reactions, he has quickly become a staple of WWE TV in just a short amount of time due to his antics.
