Roman Reigns Triggers Brawl With Jacob Fatu After Belittling Remark on WWE RAW

The Bloodline civil war is coming. On the May 4, 2026, episode of WWE RAW, Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu took their rivalry to another level during a contract signing that turned into a full brawl.

Their World Heavyweight Championship match is now official for Backlash. What started as a usual contract signing turned personal when Reigns made a disrespectful remark that pushed Fatu too far.

Roman Reigns’ comment sparks brawl with Jacob Fatu on RAW

The segment began with Adam Pearce in charge, while Reigns and Fatu sat facing each other. Reigns, as usual, asked the crowd to acknowledge him and then started talking down to Fatu, saying the crowd’s respect is something Fatu doesn’t understand.

He kept going, saying he had been running WWE for more than 12 years. He then claimed he opened the door for Solo Sikoa, and Sikoa did that for Fatu, which meant Fatu’s success is partly because of Reigns. And he expected respect because of that.

He also criticized Fatu’s Tongan Death Grip, calling it a desperate move. Reigns then questioned Fatu’s place in the family.

Jacob Fatu didn’t stay quiet. He fired back, saying he is desperate, but for survival, not weakness. He said he feels like he was fighting the world, and now he is ready to take everything from Reigns, including the title, to support his family.

After signing the contract, Reigns said that while Fatu has to worry about his own household, he carries multiple families on his back and that WWE trusts him because he has proven himself.

Just then, Reigns triggered Fatu by saying, “In our family, we are equals. We are of the same blood. But in this ring, you are beneath me.”

Fatu snapped and attacked Reigns, trying to lock in the Tongan Death Grip. Reigns fought back at first, hitting a Superman Punch and even using a chair to slow him down. But Fatu kept going back to the same move. Pearce tried to stop it, but things were already out of control.

In the end, Fatu finally took over. He locked in the Tongan Death Grip again and slammed Reigns through the table.

As officials rushed in, Fatu stood tall. He signed the contract next to a fallen Reigns.
