Kevin Nash Warns WWE Against Booking Oba Femi Like Goldberg

Kevin Nash recently spoke about Oba Femi and his current WWE run. Femi has been dominant since arriving on the main roster. He has continued building momentum after defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.

Since then, WWE has presented him as one of the strongest stars on television. Femi also introduced the Oba Femi Open Challenge. The segment allows different wrestlers to face him weekly. Names like Grayson Waller and Otis have answered the challenge.

However, none of them have managed to defeat him so far. His undefeated streak has continued on the main roster. Recently, Nash compared parts of Femi’s presentation to Goldberg. Goldberg famously had a long undefeated streak in WCW.

Nash eventually ended that streak himself. Now, he believes WWE should avoid repeating the same pattern with Femi.

Kevin Nash thinks WWE must make Oba Femi more vulnerable

Speaking on Kliq This, Nash explained the similarities he sees between Oba Femi and Goldberg. He pointed to the crowd reactions and entrances. He said, “There are a lot of similarities, like the chanting. Bill had a very specific ring entrance; Oba has a very specific ring entrance. It’s chantable. They were both super over, super quick.”

Nash then explained why WWE should be careful with the booking. He said wrestlers need moments of vulnerability. “To me, it’s just like, he’s got to be vulnerable, or they’ll build the exact same thing they did with Bill.”

He also spoke about how fan reactions changed during Goldberg’s streak. “Now it becomes cool to go against him because they started to boo when Bill became so big.”

Before moving to the main roster, Femi did take losses during his NXT run. His current WWE streak, however, has remained intact. The Open Challenge continues to build his momentum each week. The next focus will likely be on who eventually steps up to challenge him in a bigger storyline.
