Brooke Hogan opens up about her bond with HGTV co-star Scott McGillivray.
Brooke Hogan, 38, has opened up about her close working relationship with HGTV co-star Scott McGillivray, 48, as the pair team up on Rock the Block to renovate older properties and resell them at higher prices.
During the show’s May 4 episode, Brooke addressed growing speculation about their bond and clarified the nature of their relationship on screen.
“Scott and I have become very close, very fast,” she said.
“I’m sure a lot of people watching us will think that there’s something going on. But really the affection I have for him is a mixture of things. There’s a little bit of like a daddy complex happening here where I feel safe and protected by you, and I trust you and you give good advice.
“And, you know, his hugs feel like a dad hug, you know?” she added. [H/T People.com]
Brooke’s comments come in the aftermath of a recent interview in which she discussed her strained relationship with her late father, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. She explained that her relationship with her father has been deeply strained over the years and that she never received a genuine apology.
“He did really hurt me and I never got a genuine apology or sorry. The forgiveness just came from my love for him. But even in the documentary, I felt like there wasn’t accountability. And I was just like, this is basically your last chance to really be honest.”
