Former WWE Star Questions Fans Turning On Jacob Fatu Instead of Roman Reigns

The Bloodline revival storyline has become one of the biggest stories on WWE RAW since Roman Reigns returned after WrestleMania 42. The OTC reunited with The Usos, but things turned chaotic when Jacob Fatu started feuding with them. Fatu, who is a fan favorite himself, has now divided fans as he stands against probably the most beloved WWE star of the current generation.

The rivalry started with Fatu’s frustration over how things played out during Reigns’ dominant title run. Fatu has repeatedly said that while Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline were living comfortably at the top of WWE, he was struggling to support his family.

That frustration finally resulted in a World Heavyweight Championship match at WWE Backlash 2026. Although Reigns managed to retain the title, the loss only made Fatu more dangerous. And now, their rivalry seems far from over.

However, despite Fatu’s vicious Tongan Death Grip attacks on Reigns, a former WWE star believes that the Samoan Werewolf is the real babyface in their ongoing rivalry.

Matt Morgan believes Jacob Fatu is more sympathetic than Roman Reigns amid ongoing storyline

Morgan has shared his thoughts on WWE’s current Bloodline storyline. He believes fans are rooting for the wrong side in the feud between Fatu and Reigns.

Even with Fatu acting violently, Morgan believes the story actually makes Reigns and The Usos look like the real villains. Morgan took to X and questioned why fans continue cheering Reigns. In his opinion, Fatu’s story is much easier to sympathize with.

“I get it. I also get they think Jey Uso is still massively popular as well anytime he’s a part of something. But how on God‘s green earth do you not cheer for the guy that turned his life around for the better, came out of prison and better himself,” Morgan wrote.

Matt Morgan pointed out that Fatu always talks about wanting to provide for his children and create a better future for his family on his own. According to him, the irony is that Reigns is still acting like the same arrogant Tribal Chief fans once hated. He didn’t help Fatu’s family when he was on his dominant universal title run.

“He didn’t do anything for Jacob‘s family?! And said he wants to take care of his kids and his family on his own? How the hell do you not cheer that? Morgan questioned fans.

Morgan also said that Reigns still demands acknowledgment and uses his power and family connections to stay in control. He criticized the crowd reactions involving The Usos, saying WWE structured the segments in a way that naturally pushes fans to cheer for Reigns before really thinking about the story.

“The irony in all this, if you look at the actual storyline, is that Jacob is not healing in any of this, it’s arrogant Roman. And his two henchman The Uso Twins,” Morgan tweeted.

Fan reactions have been split ever since the feud started. Some fans continue supporting Reigns because of his legendary status. While others believe Jacob Fatu has every reason to be angry and see him as the underdog in the story.

That gray area seems to be exactly what WWE wants.
