WWE’s Chelsea Green Blasts Critics of Her UFC Freedom 250 Appearance

Chelsea Green has responded to the criticism surrounding her upcoming appearance at UFC’s Freedom 250 Fan Fest event in Washington, D.C.

The discussion started after WWE announced during RAW that Green would appear at the event alongside stars like Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Trick Williams, The Usos, Bron Breakker, and Tiffany Stratton.

The UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest is scheduled for June 13 and 14 on the South Lawn of the White House. The event is part of UFC’s larger Freedom 250 celebration, which will feature the fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje as the main event.

Chelsea Green says she can do her job and keep her personal beliefs separate

After the announcement, some fans on social media criticized Green for taking part in the event. A few people questioned why she would appear at a heavily political White House-themed show after previously speaking publicly in support of trans rights and human rights causes.

One fan even reposted an older message from Green supporting trans people and sarcastically wrote, “guess the check cleared.”

Green fired back with her own tweet.

“Doing my job and supporting the community are not mutually exclusive. I’ll continue to do what I can to advocate for human rights whether you approve or not.”

Her response sparked more debate online. Some fans supported Green for standing by her beliefs while still handling her WWE responsibilities. Some felt it conflicted with the values she has publicly supported in the past.

The majority of the criticism centers around UFC Freedom 250’s connection to politics, nationalism, and its White House setting. Since WWE and UFC are both under the TKO Group Holdings umbrella, many fans also see the crossover appearances as part of a larger company strategy.
