WWE Star Ludwig Kaiser Arrested In Florida

WWE star Ludwig Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, was arrested in Orange County, Florida on a battery charge.

According to arrest records that appeared on the Recently Booked website, Kaiser was taken into custody on May 20, 2026. Records showed a $1,000 bond following the arrest and he was released from Orange County Corrections.

Following the reports, fans on social media began speculating about the battery charge. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp later addressed the rumors online. He clarified that the incident reportedly involved another male during an altercation. Sapp also stated that it was not a domestic situation.

He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, “The arrest is accurate. We’re told the battery charge was against a male after an altercation. Not a domestic situation as some are speculating.”

The timing of the situation has drawn additional attention. Kaiser is currently scheduled for a major match at AAA Noche de Los Grandes next week in Monterrey, Mexico. Kaiser has also recently wrestled under the El Grande Americano character.

He is expected to face Chad Gable in a Mask vs. Mask match at the crossover event. The event takes place on May 30, 2026. As of now, neither Ludwig Kaiser nor WWE has released an official statement regarding the reported arrest.
