LA Knight officially threw his name into the 2026 King of the Ring tournament during the May 25 episode of WWE Raw, and he already has his sights set on championship gold.
Appearing live at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, Knight cut his first in-ring promo on Raw since before WrestleMania 42.
While fans expected plenty of “YEAH!” chants, Knight also delivered a major update by revealing that both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will begin next week.
LA Knight targets Roman Reigns after WWE tournament announcement
During the segment, Knight confirmed he would be entering the King of the Ring field and made it clear he sees the tournament as a direct path toward Roman Reigns and the World Heavyweight Championship.
Knight told Jimmy Uso — who interrupted the promo shortly afterward — that Reigns is currently the only member of The Bloodline he has an issue with. For now, at least.
That comment added another layer to what already feels like a loaded summer direction for Knight. If he can survive the tournament bracket, he could be one step closer to standing across the ring from “The OTC” on one of WWE’s biggest stages.
The King of the Ring finals are scheduled to take place on June 27 at WWE Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However, despite Knight’s announcement, WWE has not yet officially revealed the tournament brackets or confirmed additional participants.
The tournament carries a long history in WWE dating back to 1985 and has often served as a launching pad for future main event stars. Names like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, and Gunther all used King of the Ring victories to elevate their careers.
Knight clearly believes this could be his moment, too. And if his Raw promo was any indication, he isn’t entering the tournament just to wear a crown — he wants to rule the whole kingdom.
