Shotzi Blackheart is happy to have found someone she loves working with as much as her next MLW opponent.
Blackheart spoke with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay ahead of MLW Fusion’s return on Saturday, May 30. The first episode of Fusion’s revival will feature Shotzi facing off with Priscilla Kelly, whom she referred to as her “wrestling soulmate.”
“Priscilla is definitely one of my wrestling soulmates now. We’ve wrestled so often that it’s like we don’t even talk about it anymore. We’re just like, ‘All right, let’s get in there and see what happens.’ We just know each other so well, and it’s always a good time,” Shotzi explained. “Our wrestling styles just mesh so well. And I just love getting in there with her because we’re just like on the same page.”
Shotzi said that working with Kelly, formerly known as WWE’s Gigi Dolin, is easy because they always agree on things. They might be opponents this weekend, but they never find themselves fighting when it comes to working with each other.
Shotzi says working with Priscilla Kelly is easy
“I just never really met someone who just sees wrestling the same way that I do. Every idea that she has, I’m just like, ‘Yes, yes, that is exactly how I feel. Yes. That’s what we need to do.’ We just really bounce off of each other really well,” Shotzi added. “That’s why I love working with her because it’s just so easy. We just really agree with everything. So yeah, I mean there’s sometimes you get an opponent and you really butt heads because you’re just not on the same page of where you want the match to go. But it’s never that way with her.”
MLW Fusion’s return was teased for several months, and Blackheart said that she’s thrilled that the broadcast date is (almost) finally here.
“This is so cool. It’s been like months in the process since I’ve heard about it. So I’ve just been itching for it to finally start airing. I’m so excited for this weekend. I will definitely be celebrating.”
MLW Fusion airs on YouTube at 6:05 pm ET, followed by broadcasts on VEEPS at 9 pm and on beIN Sports at 10 pm.
