WWE’s CM Punk Shares Advice For Wrestlers In Countries Where Wrestling Barely Exists

CM Punk recently offered heartfelt advice to aspiring wrestlers facing long odds, speaking at Bayley’s Lodestone Las Vegas 2026 training and mentorship seminar.

His comments came after a participant from the Philippines asked how wrestlers can grow in countries where professional wrestling has limited resources and support.

The question struck a chord with many in attendance. While the road to success in wrestling can sometimes feel like a handicap match, Punk focused on perseverance rather than obstacles.

During the Q&A session, a wrestler identified as Super P explained the challenges faced by performers in the Philippines.

She noted that wrestling is not widely supported, opportunities are limited, travel is expensive, and many fans only compare local talent to WWE’s biggest stars.

Punk first asked about the size of the wrestling scene, responding with surprise when he learned there were only a handful of active women wrestlers.

“Wow. Is it just eight of you?” Punk asked.

He then pointed to technology as an important tool for wrestlers trying to gain exposure outside established wrestling markets.

“This is where the internet is a tool,” Punk said. “Whatever shows you do work, you know, you get footage of. And to me, old school is still school. Like you can send stuff to promoters.”

The conversation took an emotional turn when Super P revealed that fans had helped raise money for her trip to Las Vegas, prompting applause from those in attendance.

Punk praised the effort it took to attend the seminar and streesed on the importance of taking chances.

“Being here, I think, is a step in the right direction,” he said. “I think it takes courage to travel to a foreign country in search of fortune and glory doing what you love.”

He concluded by encouraging everyone at Lodestone, adding, “I’m proud of all of you for taking that step.”

For wrestlers working far from wrestling’s traditional hotbeds, Punk’s message was clear — sometimes the biggest leap starts with a single step, not a top-rope move.
