Paul Heyman found himself at the center of one of the most shocking moments on WWE RAW this week, as a chaotic main event ended with the Hall of Fame manager being driven through the barricade at ringside.
The incident took place during the June 1 episode of RAW from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.
While Heyman wasn’t scheduled to compete, his involvement in the night’s main event between Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins proved costly in a way few could have predicted.
Bron Breakker accidentally spears Paul Heyman through the barricade
The hard-hitting contest between Breakker and Rollins escalated throughout the night, with both men surviving a series of momentum swings, near falls, and outside interference. Austin Theory attempted to tip the scales in Breakker’s favor, while Montez Ford arrived to even the odds.
As the match reached its closing stages, Rollins appeared poised to secure victory after connecting with a Stomp. However, Heyman inserted himself into the action by placing Breakker’s foot on the bottom rope, preventing the referee from counting three.
That decision immediately put Heyman in Rollins’ crosshairs. The Visionary confronted his former mentor at ringside, and moments later disaster struck.
Breakker charged at Rollins looking to deliver a Spear, but Rollins stepped aside at the last second. Instead of hitting his intended target, Breakker crashed directly into Heyman, sending him through the timekeeper’s barricade in a brutal impact. The stunned crowd erupted with loud “Holy S**t” chants as officials checked on the legendary manager.
Despite the accidental collision, the match continued. The Vision member later connected with another Spear on Rollins, but Seth survived and ultimately capitalized on the chaos. Rollins finished the bout with Blackout to score the pinfall victory.
The dramatic scene leaves questions surrounding both Heyman’s condition and the future of The Vision. For now, one thing is certain — Heyman took a Spear that hit harder than any verbal promo ever could.
