Seth Rollins walked out of WWE Night of Champions with a hard-fought victory over Bron Breakker, but the former World Heavyweight Champion admitted it took everything he had to survive a brutal steel cage encounter in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Rollins and Breakker collided inside the steel structure in a match that quickly escalated into a physical war, with both men pushing each other to the absolute limit. Breakker, in particular, delivered a dominant performance and was busted wide open late in the contest as the intensity reached a breaking point.
Rollins ultimately sealed the win with a devastating super Stomp from the turnbuckle, bringing the match to a dramatic conclusion.
Speaking in his Night of Champions post-show interview with Joe Tessitore, Rollins reflected on the battle and the emotional weight of finally putting away Breakker.
“It was a fight out there man. It was a war. That’s what I expected to be honest with you. There’s a lot that can be said about Bron. There’s a lot I’ve said and a lot I will say but what I will say tonight is that I hoped that he will be when I brought him into The Vision. He was a worthy opponent, a hell of a warrior, he went out on his shield there.”
Rollins also admitted that landing the finishing blow brought a sense of relief more than celebration, especially given the struggles he has faced since returning from injury.
“When I got that super stomp on him, I think mostly a relief, you know, to feel like I have finally finished the job. I have finally put The Vision behind me.”
Seth Rollins Says His Comeback Didn’t Go As Expected
Rollins went on to reflect on his difficult road back to the top, explaining that his return had not gone as smoothly as expected.
“It’s been a tough road man. It didn’t get off to a good start at WrestleMania. This comeback has been very difficult for me. It wasn’t straightforward.”
He explained that rebuilding momentum after injury required patience, matches on RAW, and the right support system around him as he regained confidence.
“You just want to bam bam bam get right to it. It just hadn’t been that for me. Took me getting my feet under me… having the right people check me at the right time.”
In the end, Rollins said the final three-count represented a moment of relief after a long and demanding journey.
“When I hit that stomp and I got that cover it was a real relief… like, I can breathe a little.”
With The Vision seemingly behind him and a major victory over Bron Breakker secured, Rollins now finds himself in a holding pattern following Night of Champions. The former World Heavyweight Champion made it clear that he will be watching closely as newly crowned King of the Ring Oba Femi decides which champion he will challenge at SummerSlam, signaling that his next major direction could be shaped by Femi’s decision.
