Recent reports have provided an update on Nikkita Lyons’ WWE status. The update comes amid speculation about a potential main roster move. The NXT star has generated interest internally. A call-up does not appear to be happening anytime soon.
Reports about a possible main roster move gained attention after Nikkita Lyons appeared at a WWE RAW taping on May 18. During the show, she competed against Maxxine Dupri in a match taped for WWE Main Event.
Reports also noted that Lyons had been discussed internally as a potential call-up candidate. However, that does not appear to be the case at this time.
Nikkita Lyons expected to remain in NXT and EVOLVE
According to Cory Hays of False Finish, WWE officials have been impressed with Lyons’ work since returning from injury. However, the company does not have plans for an immediate main roster call-up. Instead, Lyons is expected to continue appearing on NXT and EVOLVE.
The False Finish account on X wrote, “False Finish has learned that WWE officials have been very impressed with the work of Nikkita Lyons since returning from injury. While there were reports of a potential callup to #WWERAW in the Summer, it doesn’t appear likely at this time. Lyons is expected to continue working EVOLVE and NXT for the foreseeable future.”
While Lyons has reportedly impressed WWE officials both behind the scenes and on TV, she is expected to continue working in NXT and EVOLVE for the foreseeable future.
