TNA Star Reveals Plan to Freeze Eggs for Future Motherhood

TNA Wrestling‘s Jody Threat shares her plans to freeze her eggs to have children in the future.

Taking to X/Twitter, former TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion Jody Threat shared that she wants to use her platform to openly address the sensitive topic of cryopreservation, which many career-focused women face.

“We’re in the vehicle, which means it’s serious chat time. I grapple with how much of my personal life I should be sharing on my Jody Threat outlets. Behind Jody Threat is a lady named Jody Gyivicsan, and there’s things that happen with the real-life person that I don’t share on here. What I want to talk about today is something that the majority of women who really focus on their career face and have to think about,” the TNA star began.

“It’s a topic I feel like a lot of people are uncomfortable chatting about. Obviously, it’s super sensitive, but I think we need to start talking about it more. As someone that’s comfortable talking about it, I think it’s my duty to talk about it.”

The TNA star wants to give herself the best chance of having future biological children

Speaking further, Jody Threat discussed age-related decline in egg quantity and quality, and praised current cryopreservation technology. The TNA star revealed that she’s freezing her eggs this summer, hoping to give her the best chance of having biological children in the future.

“Essentially, Jody Gyivicsan, the person behind Jody Threat, is a 38-year-old biological woman. I have ovaries that are working, and they have eggs. As a person ages, regardless of how happy and healthy they are, those eggs decrease in numbers, and the quality of the eggs also decreases,” the TNA star continued.

“We’re lucky now in today’s age we actually have technologies that can help with this situation, freezing your eggs. It allows for people in my situation, I’m not ready to have babies right now, and I don’t know what the future holds, and I would like to give myself the best chance of having biological children if that’s what I want in the future.

“So I’m going to be freezing those eggs this summer, which is very exciting, very expensive, something we’ll talk about later. I just wanted to use my platform to talk about it, and I think over the next little while I’m going to share with you different things I’m experiencing. Because like I said, this is something that a lot of women in your life have to grapple with, and you probably don’t even realize it. So stay tuned as we explore this kind of awkward situation or process that I’m in,” the TNA star said.

WWE’s Cathy Kelley also recently underwent an egg freezing retrieval surgery.
