Killer Kross Admits Triple H’s Silence Hurt After WWE Exit

Killer Kross (FKA Karrion Kross in WWE) has opened up about one of the hardest parts of his WWE exit, revealing that Triple H never reached out to him after his contract expired in 2025.

After signing with WWE in February 2020, Kross became one of NXT’s biggest stars. He built an undefeated streak before defeating Keith Lee to win the NXT Championship in August 2020. But just days later, a shoulder injury forced him to relinquish the title.

He eventually returned and defeated Finn Bálor to regain the NXT Championship at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver in April 2021.

Kross debuted on RAW in July 2021 while still NXT Champion, only to lose immediately to Jeff Hardy. Under Vince McMahon’s direction, his character changed significantly, and he was released later that year.

When Triple H took over creative in 2022, Kross returned to WWE and immediately entered a feud with Drew McIntyre. He wrestled his final WWE match at SummerSlam 2025 against Sami Zayn before his contract officially expired.

Killer Kross reflects on the difficult end to his WWE run

During his recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Kross admitted that the silence from WWE CCO really hurt. When Helwani asked if Triple H had contacted him after he left WWE, Kross answered, “No.”

When Helwani asked again if that was still the case after everything that had happened, Kross repeated himself, “No.”

Kross admitted that the lack of communication bothered him.

“It did, but I just try to tell myself that there are things going on that are so strange that might not occur to you, that perhaps he is no longer in a position to speak to talent anymore once they exit, because I’m not an isolated situation,” Kross said.

However, he made it clear that he wasn’t attacking Triple H. Kross even suggested that Triple H could have been instructed not to communicate with former talent after they leave WWE.

“I’m not throwing shade at him at all, but I don’t think anyone understands the nature of his position. Everyone just thinks he’s just the boss and nothing is attached to that. I think there’s a whole new hierarchy and things above him, and he has to answer to them; perhaps he’s even told not to contact talent afterwards…maybe. But it did bother me. It bothered me very, very much,” he said.

Now working as a free agent, Kross seems focused on whatever comes next in his career.
