Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Heidenreich recalled being asked whether Vince McMahon got upset when he skipped the march during an entrance.
“I think when I started with Animal, I was like, ‘Well, I don’t want to do that with Legion of Doom, you know, that’s disrespectful.'”
He continued, “And I came back and he’s like, ‘What’s up?’ I said, ‘What’s where’s the march?’ He goes, ‘You got to do that every time you go to the ring. That’s over.’ Because I was still new at everything, you know? I didn’t know. But it was getting popular. I mean, it was cool because I like that. I call it the March of Madness, you know, or something, something to put a term to it.”
