Paul Walter Hauser isn’t mincing words when it comes to Roman Reigns‘ UFC White House appearance.
The OTC was one of the many high-profile celebrities in attendance at UFC Freedom 250, which emanated from the South Lawn of the White House on June 14. Reigns’ appearance was highlighted by TKO Group on social media.
Roman Reigns’ UFC White House appearance was enough to create a buzz on social media. Former UFC champion Conor McGregor trolled the WWE World Heavyweight Champion in a one-word post.
Paul Walter Hauser is the latest personality linked to the pro wrestling world to take a shot at the Tribal Chief’s White House appearance. Taking to X, the PROGRESS Proteus Champion questioned how infrequently Reigns competes in WWE while putting over AEW stars Darby Allin and Kenny Omega for putting their bodies on the line week in and week out.
“Is this where you are when you’re never wrestling? Why do guys like Darby Allin and Kenny Omega wrestle every single week, and yet they don’t ask us to ‘acknowledge them’? Could it be that the work begets the acknowledgement? Enjoy the field trip, you actual dork,” Hauser wrote.
“Why TF do you think I’m mad at Roman Reigns for attending that sewage on the WH lawn?! If El Dandy or Mike Enos or the ghost of George Hackenschmidt attended, I likely wouldn’t care,” Hauser added. “Roman has a platform & 3 children & he’s goin “Yeah, this is cool. I’m into it.” ?”
However, Hauser’s criticism may overlook the fact that Reigns has been appearing fairly regularly on WWE programming since WrestleMania 42. After defeating CM Punk to capture the World Heavyweight Championship, The Tribal Chief suggested that fans would be seeing much more of him moving forward.
That promise has largely held true, with Reigns maintaining a more consistent presence compared to the limited schedule he worked in previous years. In fact, both Reigns and Punk are advertised for tonight’s episode of RAW at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. However, it remains to be seen if Punk will show up, as he has not been seen in WWE since the night after WrestleMania 42.
