The road to WWE Night of Champions became much clearer on the June 15 episode of WWE Raw as the first finalist in the 2026 Queen of the Ring Tournament was officially determined.
One of WWE’s top stars punched her ticket to the championship round, but not before surviving a grueling semifinal battle that kept fans guessing until the final moments.
With a guaranteed Women’s Championship opportunity at SummerSlam awaiting the tournament winner, the stakes couldn’t have been much higher.
Both competitors entered Raw knowing that one victory would place them just one step away from a potential title shot on one of WWE’s biggest stages.
IYO SKY advances to Queen of the Ring final at WWE Night Of Champions
IYO SKY secured her place in the Queen of the Ring finals after defeating Raquel Rodriguez in a hard-fought semifinal contest.
The match showcased a classic clash of styles. Rodriguez used her size and power advantage to control long stretches of the bout, repeatedly overpowering SKY inside and outside the ring.
At one point, Rodriguez caught SKY during a suicide dive attempt and drove her into the ring post, creating a major obstacle for “The Genius of the Sky.”
Despite the punishment, SKY continued to battle back. Rodriguez appeared close to victory several times and looked poised to finish the match with a Tejana Bomb. However, SKY turned the tide when she countered with a hurricanrana and regained momentum.
The closing sequence proved decisive. After sending Rodriguez into the turnbuckle and creating an opening, SKY climbed to the top rope and connected with her signature Over the Moonsault to score the pinfall victory.
If there was ever a reminder that SKY can rise above almost any challenge, this was it. In true high-flying fashion, she reached for the sky and grabbed a spot in the tournament final.
The celebration didn’t last long. Following the match, Roxanne Perez joined Rodriguez in launching an attack on SKY. Before the situation could escalate further, Rhea Ripley charged to the ring and cleared out both competitors, ensuring SKY left Raw standing tall.
With the semifinal hurdle now behind her, SKY heads to WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia, where she will compete in the Queen of the Ring final with a coveted Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam hanging in the balance.
