WWE’s El Grande Americano Has Match-Worn Mask Sell for $50K for Charity

WWE star El Grande Americano’s match-worn mask sells for over $50,000.

El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) announced earlier this month that he’s partnering with Fanatics to auction the mask he wore during his match against the Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) at AAA Noche de Los Grandes for charity. The auction has concluded, and a lucky fan made a winning bid of $50,035 to take the item home.

Americano took to Instagram to share the news and thank everyone for their support.

“What an incredible result! $50,035 USD. Thank you so much for every single bid and to Fanatics. Stay tuned as we share the special handover to Dr. Sonrisas and the children,” he wrote.

El Grande Americano’s mask was sold for a good cause

El Grande Americano had previously noted that 100% of the proceeds from the auction would go to the Dr. Sonrisas Foundation, a Mexican non-profit organization devoted to changing the lives of children with critical illnesses. He has now asked the fans to stay tuned for the special handover.

Americano continues to make strides in AAA after winning the mask vs. mask match against Chad Gable’s OG version. While Gable is on a redemption arc on RAW, Kaiser recently returned to AAA on last week’s episode on FOX in Latin America.

Americano expressed his interest in challenging Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship. However, Karmen Petrovic interrupted him, and it led to four men, who were revealed as Angel, Berto, Bronco Nima, and Daga, to lay him out. The group wore shirts bearing the name “Perros Del Mal,” reviving the classic faction.
