Konnan Announced as 2026 TNA Hall of Fame Inductee

Konnan is being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame.

TNA made the announcement at Sunday’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. Ahead of the main event, TNA aired a video package featuring Mike Santana paying tribute to Konnan.

“It’s hard to put into words how much love, appreciation and gratitude I have for you,” Santana began.

Santana spoke about how Konnan not only opened doors for him in TNA, but also gave a platform to so many Latino wrestlers in the business.

Towards the end of the video, Santana revealed that Konnan would be the latest inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame on Bound For Glory weekend. He closed by saying, “Gracias y te quero mucho, Konnan. Hasta la Muerte y despues,” which translates to “Thank you, and I love you very much, Konnan. Until death—and beyond!”

Konnan has suffered significant health issues in recent years

Konnan has dealt with several health issues over the years. This includes kidney failure and cardiac issues, as well as the amputation of both of his legs. Reports revealed that the 62-year-old former WCW and TNA star had one leg amputated in San Diego in March.

During a recent episode of The Coach and Bro, Vince Russo shared that the wrestling legend had to get his second leg amputated as well. Russo noted that Konnan was in rehabilitation for six months, but WWE covered all of his medical bills.

Konnan joins ODB and Amazing Red as this year’s TNA Hall of Fame inductees. The two Hall of Fame inductions weren’t the only surprises at Slammiversary, as former WWE star Apollo Crews made his TNA debut. In addition, TNA also confirmed Bound For Glory would take place in Tampa, Florida this year, and revealed that Destination X would return for the first time since 2017.
