The Great Khali has officially retired from professional wrestling. However, he hasn’t completely closed the door on his WWE return. The WWE Hall of Famer recently confirmed his in-ring career is over. Still, he said, a one-time appearance could still happen.
The Great Khali reveals what could bring him back to WWE
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Khali said, “Yeah, I retired.” When asked about returning for the Royal Rumble, he replied, “Never know, but I don’t want to go. Maybe WWE asks, ‘Will you come one day?’ Then I can go. But just one, two days, not full time. Never. Because of my bad knee, I can’t go full time.”
Khali also opened up about his knee problems. He said, “I want surgery. I’m just every day busy. First I want to do one, then maybe later.” He admitted that stairs still give him trouble every day. Khali elaborated, “When I take stairs, there’s pain, and long time standing is pain. Otherwise, I’m fine. I can do exercise. I can do anything.”
Khali last wrestled in WWE during the 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. His final WWE singles match came back in 2014, when Rusev defeated him on SmackDown.
