Jinder Mahal believes MJF has the potential to become the next face of WWE if he ever jumps ship.
Following Friedman’s loss to Kenny Omega in the AEW World Championship main event on AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, Mahal (Raj Dhesi) took to TikTok to praise the now-former three-time AEW World Champion.
“I’ve seen enough. The future franchise player of WWE—I’m talking Reigns, Cena, Rock, Austin, Hogan level—is MJF,” Mahal said.
He expanded on his remarks in the caption, predicting a future with Friedman in WWE.
“My prediction: MJF eventually makes the jump to WWE. And if he does, I think he has the potential to be the next franchise player.
“He can talk. He understands his character. He knows how to use social media and media in general to keep people invested.”
Dhesi concluded by praising MJF’s ability to blur the line between reality and fiction.
“Most importantly, he understands how to blur the lines. The most valuable skill to have.” [H/T PWMania.com]
MJF and Kenny Omega headlined the July 8 episode of AEW Dynamite: Beach Break. The match carried the stipulation that Omega would never again challenge for the AEW World Championship if he failed to defeat Friedman. However, Omega overcame the odds, hitting three consecutive V-Triggers before finishing MJF with the One Winged Angel to capture his second AEW World Championship.
