WWE’s Rhea Ripley Believes She Could Compete In Power Slap

Rhea Ripley considers her potential performance in Power Slap.

WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley has proven herself to be a strong and resilient pro wrestler. How would she fare in a sport like Power Slap, though?

According to Ripley herself, she would likely be able to handle the physical contact to her face. Delivering it back to her opponent may not yield the same success.

“We slap at work, and I definitely get slapped a lot and it’s pretty full on, especially for wrestling. I feel like I could take it, potentially, but I don’t think I’m as accurate, Ripley told Nina Drama while attending the latest Power Slap event. “I’d get points deducted. I’d be f***ing people’s eardrums up, I’d be lining up and then miss.”

At the same Power Slap event, former WWE star Jake Hager (fka Jack Swagger) took on Amanpreet Singh. Singh ultimately secured the win with a third-round knockout of Hager. Power Slap, a slap fighting promotion launched in 2022, is led by Dana White, the CEO of UFC.

Ripley has remained out of action in WWE since the beginning of June due to a slightly torn meniscus. Her return timeline as well as her status for the upcoming SummerSlam premium live event is unclear.

“Mami” captured the WWE Women’s Championship by defeating Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42. She last wrestled at a WWE live event in Portugal on June 3.
