Netflix Censorship Continues As Brock Lesnar’s WWE Raw Appearance Is Heavily Edited

Netflix is once again getting attention from WWE fans for making strange edits to this week’s RAW replays. Most of the edits came during Brock Lesnar’s opening segment with Paul Heyman and Oba Femi.

When RAW moved to Netflix, many fans expected the show to have fewer restrictions than it did on regular TV. Instead, people have noticed that the replay versions often include extra edits that weren’t in the live broadcast.

Netflix censors Brock Lesnar’s T-shirt

RAW opened with Paul Heyman introducing Brock Lesnar, who walked to the ring surrounded by what looked like a group of police officers. Later, it was revealed that the officers were fake.

Oba Femi came out and took down the fake officers, sending a strong message to Lesnar before their Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam.

But fans who watched the replay on Netflix noticed that Lesnar’s appearance had been edited. The biggest change involved his “Talk Sh*t, Get Hit” T-shirt.

WWE had already toned the shirt down by replacing the “i” in the swear word with an asterisk for TV. Even so, Netflix blurred out the entire word during several camera shots in the replay.

That extra censorship became a hot topic online. Many fans wondered why Netflix felt the need to hide a word that WWE had already censored. Some also pointed out that Netflix streams several movies and TV shows with stronger language, violence, and adult content than what appeared on RAW.

Moreover, the shirt wasn’t the only thing Netflix edited. Fans also noticed that some shots of Lesnar reacting while Femi was speaking had been removed. Several camera angles showing Lesnar’s facial expressions were either shortened or replaced with different footage.

However, this isn’t the first time Netflix has made such censorship. Earlier, the replay of Night of Champions included edits during the steel cage match between Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins. Breakker’s bloody face was entirely blurred, and different camera angles were used to hide some of the blood.

Those edits were not shown during ESPN’s live international broadcast, leading many fans to believe they were made specifically for Netflix.
