Charlotte Flair recently shared a humorous backstage story involving CM Punk that led to an unexpected appearance during his entrance at a WWE live event in Las Cruces.
Speaking during an appearance on WFAN at Fanatics Fest NYC, Flair recalled chatting with Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams after their match when Punk began trying to get her attention.
Flair admitted she didn’t notice him at first because she was focused on discussing the match with the two WWE stars.
“I think he had been trying to get my attention for like five minutes and I was talking to two of the boys that just had a match. It was Melo and Trick Williams.”
When she finally looked over, she realized something was missing.
“Then I look over and I see the collar of my robe. I’m like, ‘What the?'”
Flair said Punk had taken her entrance robe but couldn’t even get it on properly. Rather than simply returning it, he had another idea.
“He had it. He couldn’t even get it on. Then he was like, ‘No, follow me on my entrance.'”
Flair said she appreciated the gesture, noting that it’s always fun when the men’s roster looks for ways to include the women as part of the show.
“Which is so cool because when the guys want to incorporate the women in part of the show.”
