Zelina Vega is ready for the next chapter in her career after her WWE exit.
Former Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega and her husband, Aleister Black, were among the superstars WWE released as part of the post-WrestleMania 42 talent cuts. The stars who were let go in the initial wave have officially become free agents as of today, and the list includes Vega, Black, the Motor City Machine Guns, Kairi Sane, Santos Escobar, Zoey Stark, and the Wyatt Sicks.
As fans continue to speculate what could be next for her, Zelina Vega applied to trademark her new ring name, “Xelina,” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on July 20. While the application is still pending, Vega confirmed it as her new ring name on social media and posted a vignette on her YouTube channel, teasing the next chapter in her wrestling career.

The video begins with Zelina Vega meeting her younger self at what appears to be her childhood home. It takes the viewers through her journey, beginning with a young Vega watching a wrestling match and then the heartbreaking news of the death of her father in the 9/11 attacks.
Vega then went upstairs and opened the doors one by one, which revealed significant moments of her WWE career, including her partnership with Andrade, becoming the Queen of the Ring, her emotional entrance at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, winning the Women’s United States Championship, and the final run she had with her husband, Aleister Black.
The video ended with Zelina Vega walking through the final door and teasing her next chapter as the words “coming soon” flashed on the screen.
“Thank you for allowing me to entertain you as Zelina Vega.. I hope you join me for this new chapter.. it will be my best,” she wrote in the video’s description.
