CM Punk is already teasing his look for one of WWE’s biggest events of the year.
The Undisputed WWE Champion is set to defend his title against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2026. WWE made the championship match official on SmackDown a couple of weeks ago. This was during an in-ring segment involving Nick Aldis, Punk, and Rhodes.
The two stars recently teamed up to defeat Gunther and Sami Zayn at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, the celebration did not last long, as Punk and Rhodes had a tense backstage confrontation following their victory. WWE initially shared the footage on social media before quietly deleting it without offering an explanation.

Speaking to Ringside Collectibles during Mattel’s San Diego Comic-Con 2026 festivities, Punk was asked whether there was any gear design he still wanted to turn into an action figure. While he admitted he does not plan too far ahead, the champion revealed that he already has something special lined up for SummerSlam.
“I really don’t plan too far ahead. Most of the stuff is sort of, you’ve got to wait and see based on location. I think SummerSlam is around the corner. I got some cool gear planned for SummerSlam, but after that, I really have no idea.”
Punk did not reveal any details about the attire, but his comments suggest fans can expect a unique look when he meets Rhodes in one of the biggest matches of the year.
