Danhausen was left too stunned to curse anyone after receiving a kiss from CM Punk and Cody Rhodes at a WWE live event.
As he announced earlier this month, reigning WWE Undisputed Champion Punk has been competing in a series of live events as part of the company’s Summer Tour. This will end on August 30. Furthermore, he teamed up with his SummerSlam opponent Cody Rhodes to take on GUNTHER and Sami Zayn in the last two events. These took place at Stockton and Bakersfield, California, on July 25 and 26.
WWE played out a bit after the matches with Cody Rhodes and CM Punk arguing, and Danhausen running in to prevent them from fighting. He first came out at Stockton wearing just a towel to talk some sense into his former AEW colleagues. But the “Very Evil, Very Nice” one was in for a surprise when he came out (fully dressed) at Bakersfield.
Fans had been joking about CM Punk and Cody Rhodes kissing after seeing how they got on each other’s faces over the past weeks. However, they turned it around and kissed Danhausen one after the other at the event, leaving the star stunned.
CM Punk highlights why Danhausen is perfect for WWE
During his recent appearance on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike, CM Punk noted that his relationship with Danhausen is simple. The Second City Saint keeps giving him 20 human dollars to not be cursed. Moreover, Punk explained why the “Very Evil, Very Nice” one is perfect for the company.
“I wouldn’t say I’m great friends with him. The relationship is more like I give him money and he doesn’t curse me. I think a lot of people need to take a lesson from that. He’s cursing people left and right, and all you gotta do is give the guy some cash,” CM Punk said about Danhausen.
“I think his impact has yet to be felt. Man, he’s perfect for WWE. He’s perfect for what we do. Sometimes, you find a talent that has always kind of belonged here, and you never really realized it. He’s somebody who, to me, is a throwback,” CM Punk continued.
“He’s a bit of a gimmick, but he’s so entertaining, and you can put him in any single situation, and it’s more about how other people react or don’t react to him. Hopefully, I said enough nice things about him, he’s not gonna curse me. He’s standing right off camera right now,” CM Punk said about Danhausen.
