WWE‘s SummerSlam has had tons of legendary moments, and Seth Rollins recently revealed the top five he’s been a part of.
Speaking during a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Rollins was asked about some of his favorite moments that he’s participated in throughout the premium live event. Of course, Rollins has had several iconic moments at SummerSlam. Ahead of yet another big match against Roman Reigns, he eventually narrowed it down to five specific ones:
- vs. Dominik Mysterio in 2020
- vs. Finn Bálor in 2023
- vs. Brock Lesnar in 2019
- vs. John Cena in 2015
- Cashing in against CM Punk following Punk’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship win over Gunther in 2025
Rollins explains why his cash-in is his favorite SummerSlam moment
When it came to the cash-in, which happened last year, being his top moment, Rollins explained why. According to the legend, Rollins had other matches in mind, but the story of the cash-in, his relationship with Punk, and more made it too easy.
“I thought about going way back to my first lumberjack match at SummerSlam. I looked around, but really, guys, there is there anything better than the ruse? Is there anything better? I mean, [this] show played a major part in that. Obviously, it was shake it back to 2025. I wasn’t even a match that I was in. I was on the shelf with a severe knee injury that we couldn’t quite diagnose. But when the time came, I was able to shed the crutches, run down, hit Charles Montgomery Punk in the face with that beautiful black and gold briefcase, stomp his head straight into the mat, and take the world heavyweight championship for my own.
“What followed, you know, the greatest cash in of all time at WrestleMania, was the second greatest cash in of all time at SummerSlam. So, I am 1, 2 in the books for great cash ins and that was probably, arguably, my greatest SummerSlam moment of all time. And thank you. Thank you to you for being such a big part of it.”
