The following highlights are from tonight’s new ESPN / WWE Off The Top Rope segment with Dolph Ziggler:
Dolph Ziggler joins the show and talks about Wrestlemania setting itself apart from every other show, because it’s where dreams come true and people make a name for themselves. Dolph says his favorite Wrestlemania moment is Shawn Michaels versus Undertaker, because he actually got to watch it in the crowd and it was awesome to experience with everyone else. Dolph then talks about winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship the night after Wrestlemania 29, saying he hoped he would get a moment like that at Wrestlemania, but he got to do it the next night. He says he had a feeling it was coming and then he got the call, and all of it was special and it was a great crowd, and he was very fortunate.
Dolph also talks about being a Cleveland Cavaliers fan, and he says Cleveland is behind any team they have. He says Cleveland has an underdog feel to all the teams and he can relate, but he thinks the Cavs can make it to the NBA Finals and even win.
Dolph is asked which is more nerve-wracking: wrestling or comedy? Dolph says it’s definitely comedy, because he’s wrestled in front of 70,000 people and had fun, but performing comedy in front of 40 silent people can be a terrible feeling. Dolph talks about getting advice from comedian Andy Kindler and how he’s stayed in touch with him, and it has helped him get better.
