TNA star Nic Nemeth revealed how he managed to keep his surprise WWE RAW appearance at Madison Square Garden a secret.
On WWE RAW, Nemeth showed up as the final mystery entrant in the “Last Time is Now” tournament. He returned as Dolph Ziggler, complete with his classic theme song, “Here to Show the World.” He put up a solid fight, but Solo Sikoa beat him with a Samoa Spike.
Even though the appearance sparked rumors about a possible WWE return, reports mentioned WWE is happy with Nemeth’s performance, but he hasn’t signed with the company. He’s still part of the TNA roster.
Nic Nemeth later explained how he kept the whole surprise hidden. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, he said the plan had been set for a while, “Two, three weeks, perhaps. There is a handful of surprises and big moments that everybody remembers. I didn’t tell my parents. I told my brother. ‘If anybody finds out, I’ll know you told them because I told nobody else.”
He added that he didn’t even tell his close friends, “I’m in a group chat with Bobby Roode, Zack Ryder, and Brian Myers. I didn’t say anything. Me and Zack didn’t say anything. He said nothing.” Nemeth also had to act clueless during public appearances, “A couple interviews at The Big Event, they were like, ‘Are you wrestling on Monday at the Garden?’ ‘Pshhh, I wish. That would be cool. Cena’s last Raw.” [H/T: wrestlingnews.co]
