Goldust recently spoke with Kristi Scales for Sportsday about Wrestlemania 32, and his connections to the Dallas Cowboys, who play in AT&T Stadium. Goldust also talks about why Wrestlemania is so big, why AT&T Stadium and the jumbotron are a good venue for WWE, and more. Below are some highlights from the interview:
Goldust talks about ties to the Dallas Cowboys:
“My sister, Kristin Ditto, was a part of the Cowboys organization from 1998 to 2000 as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. My family is from (Austin) Texas, just three hours away from Dallas, so it’s special to be here for WrestleMania and associated with the home of the Cowboys.”
Goldust talks about unveiling the Dusty Rhodes statue at Wrestlemania Axxess:
“My brother, Cody, and myself unveil a statue of my dad (the late Dusty Rhodes, former WWE Hall of Famer and NWA world champion). So that’s really cool. He passed last June and it’s been tough for us, but we’re persevering.”

Goldust talks about Wrestlemania being WWE’s Super Bowl:
“This is our Super Bowl. You take the Super Bowl and you have all the shows, the half time show, and the week-long events like the NFL Experience. WWE does the same thing. This is our show. This is our time to put on the biggest and best matches that we have and all the stuff that comes with it. That includes the backstage segments, the entertainment segments, the funny things, the songs and music. Everything is big. And this will be our biggest WrestleMania to date with 100,000-plus people. It’s going to be unreal.”
