According to a Pro Wrestling Sheet reporter being backed by site editor Ryan Satin, Randy Orton will not be in action tonight in his advertised match against Bray Wyatt at WWE Backlash. Orton is apparently suffering from an “undisclosed injury” that officials were hopeful would be cleared in time for tonight’s event.

Orton was supposed to be in action this weekend, facing Wyatt at WWE Live events, but was replaced by Kane at Saturday’s show in Raleigh, North Carolina. “The Viper” recently returned from a shoulder injury that put him on the shelf for almost a full year, losing to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam after taking legitimate elbows to the head, forcing the referee to stop the match. It’s unknown at this point if the injuries Orton is working through are related to his shoulder, or possibly to something sustained in his bout with Lesnar, or are completely unrelated, but we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
