Aleah James Shares Thoughts On Noam Dar’s NXT Run, Helpful Life Advice He’s Given Her

Aleah James is very grateful for Noam Dar.

Following her departure from WWE, Aleah James is now back on the free agency market, and back in the wrestling ring. Amidst her return to action, James spoke with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay about the transition and some of the guidance she’s received from her boyfriend, Noam Dar, who is the current holder of the WWE NXT Heritage Cup.

While Dar has graciously helped her with some of her wrestling work, James pointed out that Dar has provided her with excellent life advice as well.

“It’s weird because even though obviously in terms of wrestling, [Noam] could give me all the advice under the sun, he also was really good at just giving me life advice,” James said. “There’s been multiple times in this timeframe where I’ve felt hopeless. I felt like there’s no point, or anything like that, and he just keeps me reminded that everything happens for a reason and this time off was meant to happen. And so many things that I’ve achieved in terms of like me personally, that I would never have done if I was wrestling every single week or maybe even injured, or like anything could have happened.”

“So for me, this time off is what it had to be. I don’t feel like I would have changed anything about it. Even though there’s been times where I’ve been sad or times where I’ve been stressed or angry or felt like quitting, I feel like all of those things and feelings needed to happen for me. He just reminds me of all of those things, and keeps my head straight whenever it’s going.”

Creating A Healthy Balance

Diving deeper into Dar’s life advice, James revealed that Dar has also been a huge proponent of creating a healthy balance between professional wrestling and other aspects of life.

“He just reminds me that there’s more to life than wrestling. When that’s done, you need to have other parts of your life that you cherish and that you work on and that you nourish like friendships and relationships,” James said. “He has done so many different steps in his career. He knows what it’s like when you put too many eggs in the wrestling basket or too many in the in the life basket — finding that balance of keeping yourself sane, but also being 100% involved in the job and 100% ready for whatever it throws at you.”

“To have someone who has been through it or and is still respectful and still kind and still looks after his health and is still happy, that to me is the dream — to still have all of those boxes ticked as well as being amazing. You think it’s just like a given, but it’s not. It’s just cool to see someone actually do that and live their dream and also just be a nice person whilst doing it.”

Noam’s Run In NXT

After NXT UK disbanded in August 2022, Noam Dar returned to WWE programming in April 2023, joining the WWE NXT brand in the United States. Dar, of course, didn’t come alone though, as he brought the NXT Heritage Cup with him.

Speaking with WrestleZone, Aleah James noted that she’s been a huge fan of Dar’s latest run in NXT.

“I just think it’s great. You don’t have to be a comedy [act], kind of, able to act and able to perform without the wrestling part. I feel like it doesn’t have to be one or the other. He always delivers when he’s wrestling. He’s always trying to make his matches and his experiences with other people memorable and just fun to watch, and but also being funny and also just living. He’s literally just being who he wants to be and not letting anyone decide for him. ‘This is my character. This is how I want to be, and that’s how I’m going to deliver it.’ And to be able to pull it off as well, I just find it inspiring. It’s really cool.”
