Amira Blair wants to stay far away from Mercedes Moné.
Last December, Amira Blair revealed her unique talent to the world when she played “You Raise Me Up” on her nose during the inaugural episode of EVE’s Got Talent. Seemingly taking notice of Blair’s skills, “The CEO” Mercedes Moné then booked her for a personal performance while backstage at AEW Collision in Manchester, England. As Blair attests, though, this performance didn’t come with much free will.
During an interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Blair detailed the traumatizing events that followed Moné’s RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship loss to Alex Windsor on Collision.
“[Moné] was really upset about [the loss],” Blair said. “I was just drinking to myself, bombs down the hallway, Mercedes just grabs me and goes, ‘Come here.’ And I was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa.’ She put me into her room and she [claps]. I was like, ‘Whoa, I’m not just gonna do what you tell me just because you’re clapping at me. Come on.’ She was like, ‘Play it, play it.’ And I was like, ‘Right, well, okay. Well, I’ll just do a couple of performances of CEO.’
“What started off as two minutes, but then the door locked,” she continued. “The door locked, I couldn’t get out and I was trying to shake the door. ‘Mercedes, let me out! Let me out!’ She was like, ‘Not until you play this f***ing whole song.’ I played the whole song on repeat until she felt better. But she didn’t feel better. She didn’t feel better for a very long time. It was three hours when we stopped the recording, but I was in there a lot longer after that. It was daylight by the time I got out of the room. I just ran down the hallway and I exited the building. I’ve not seen her again since.”
Blair Is ‘Scared’ To See Moné Again
After spending several hours locked in a room, forced to play Moné’s theme song on the nose trumpet, Blair admitted that she is “scared” to see Moné again. When pressed on why she feels that way, Blair stated that she simply doesn’t want to play anymore tunes for “The CEO.”
“I’m scared to see her again because in case she makes me play more songs,” Blair said. “I don’t think I know the CEO song. I don’t know a lot of other songs anymore because I try to forget that that terrible thing that happened. So I don’t know if she’ll ever ask me to play again, but I hope to God I never see her again so I don’t have to play any more songs.”
