#2.) vs Cesaro – Clash Of Champions 2016
Then-RAW General Manager Mick Foley put Cesaro and Sheamus against each other in a Best-of-Seven series, where the winner was promised a title opportunity. The two went 3-3 in their first six bouts, and their final match of the series culminated at Clash Of Champions 2016, which also happened to be the first RAW-exclusive PPV after the 2016 brand split.
The two would go on to have an extremely hard-hitting and aggressive affair, getting the best of each other in such a way that people legitimately feared they would get injured. The epic brawl between the two saw it end in a no contest. This resulted in Mick Foley pairing the two together and giving them a tag title opportunity.
They would capture the tag titles by the end of the year and the rest, as they say, is history.
