WATCH: WWE’s Sheamus Returns to Training With Head Bandage After Injury

Sheamus has provided a promising update on his recovery journey after a recent gym accident left fans concerned.

The WWE veteran shared new training footage this week, offering a glimpse into his condition as he continues working toward an in-ring return.

The update comes at a notable time for The Celtic Warrior, who has been sidelined since November 2025 and recently suffered a painful-looking head injury during a workout session.

Sheamus back in the gym despite recent training mishap

Earlier this month, Sheamus alarmed fans when he posted graphic photos showing blood running down his face and arm following an accident in the gym. He later revealed stitches and a heavily bandaged head, joking about the incident with the caption, “boards DO hit back #gymfail.”

While the former world champion never provided a detailed explanation of what happened, the images quickly spread across social media and sparked concern throughout the wrestling community.

Fortunately, Sheamus now appears to be back on track.

The veteran took to social media (X) to share a video of himself training while wearing a head bandage. Alongside the footage, he wrote, “Back on the ? #lightwork?,” signaling that the setback hasn’t slowed him down for long.

The update is particularly encouraging given that Sheamus has already spent months recovering from a shoulder injury that has kept him out of WWE action since late 2025. His last match came in November, when he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day.

In recent months, Sheamus has regularly shared rehabilitation updates, including training sessions at the WWE Performance Center and workouts alongside kickboxer Bernard Robinson. Those posts suggested his comeback preparations were progressing steadily before the gym accident interrupted the conversation.

For now, there is no indication that the head injury has altered Sheamus’ return timetable. If anything, the latest footage suggests the veteran is refusing to let this setback Brogue Kick his comeback plans off course as he continues his road back to WWE television.
