Fans felt outraged and cheated after Sheamus beat Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania 28 in 18 seconds. A lot of sympathies fell towards Bryan and WWE made sure they didn’t make the same mistake the following month. At Extreme Rules, their rematch would be a 2-out-of-3 falls match.
In a 23-minute war, the two proved just how well they could really do when given the time. The match had perfect psychology, storytelling and a well-done strategy between the two competitors. It remains Sheamus’ best WWE match till date. He would end up victorious and Daniel Bryan himself later stated that his feud with Sheamus was one of his favorites in WWE.
