Drew McIntyre‘s journey back to the WWE was quite an interesting one. When he first came to the WWE, he was personally introduced to the WWE Universe by Vince McMahon himself, who called him a “future world champion”. While he was pushed right off the bat, it turns out it was a little too fast and for some odd reason, he fell out of favor with management.

He would witness a dramatic dip in the card, eventually reaching enhancement talent status. However, Drew is a man who clearly believed in his own ability, so when he was released in 2014, he took it as an opportunity and challenge to go outside and make a bigger name for himself.

And that’s exactly what he did. He went to the indies and Impact Wrestling, where he proved himself and became a top star. Before he returned to WWE, he vowed to become the first-ever World Champion from the United Kingdom. His return to WWE saw him drastically improve as a performer and within over a year, he’s already had his best matches in his entire WWE career. We look at his five best matches in WWE.
