When you talk about “hybrid” style wrestlers, the name Zack Sabre Jr. comes to mind. Known as the “Technical Wizard”, Sabre belongs to a rare breed of wrestlers who have stuck to the old school, core base of wrestling while also implementing newer techniques into style. He’s been described by many fans as a human octopus and if you’ve seen his matches, you know it holds true.

Sabre’s movement in the ring is smooth and precise, as though he doesn’t waste a single step. He’s well-known as a submission specialist who ruthlessly manipulates the joints of a body  and knows how to make his submissions look like they really hurt (in all probability, it’s very likely that they do hurt for real).

Even then, it’s not just his submissions that are impressive. He’s shown over the years that he has an incredible arsneal of offence. While there’s been an argument that his technical, ground-based style of wrestling may not appeal to casual audiences, it’s up for debate because he’s truly found himself on the top wrestlers in the world list, and he’s just in his early thirties.

Here’s a few things about the Technical Wizard that you need to know!
