Vince McMahon, or “McMahon-ta Claus” announced at the end of 2018 that there was going to be brand new tag team titles for the women’s division. The tag team titles for the women had been rumored for a long time, even dating before WrestleMania 34. It was believed later that the first tag team champions would be crowned at Evolution, because it was the first-ever All Women’s PPV, after all.

However, there was no mention of it. The first time that the WWE Universe realized that it was happening, was when Bayley announced on a talk-show segment that she and Sasha Banks wanted to become the first Women’s tag team champions. Everyone was bewildered because the titles hadn’t even been announced yet. However, it was all clearly by design.

The Women’s tag titles represent a great opportunity for the WWE Women’s roster. A lot of the women don’t get as much prominent screen time as the top crop of women, and from the look of things over the last few years, it’s just rotational. However, the women’s tag titles will now make a lot more women be featured prominently on TV, and these five teams are the best options to bag the new title.
