5 Best Ladder Matches In WrestleMania History

Ladder matches, for nearly two decades now, have been a major tradition of WrestleMania, or WrestleMania weekend for that matter. While there have been a few years since 2000 that haven’t featured ladder matches on the grandest stage of them all, it’s hard to imagine WrestleMania without it.

It was the ladder match that gave the three teams – The Hardy Boyz, Dudley Boyz and Edge & Christian their major breakouts, etching their place in history and forever being associated with it. In 2018, WWE decided not to utilize the ladder match because NXT Takeover had the same stipulation to crown the first-ever North American Champion. That match would kick off the festivities of WrestleMania 34 weekend, and what do you know? The match was instantly proclaimed to be one of the best in WWE history.

In fact, the match itself just goes to show the true diversity of performers in WWE. High-flyers are generally known to thrive in such a match, but even others without the same ability have thrived and succeeded as well. With so many great ones to choose from, we give you the five best ladder matches in WWE history.

Note – TLC I from WrestleMania X7 will not be counted on this list because it wasn’t a pure ladder match.
