AJ Styles made a much-anticipated move to RAW after spending nearly 3 years as the face of SmackDown Live. Keen for new challenges, he would jump to the top right away and be the first in line to face Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship. It wasn’t a friendly rivalry despite the two men being babyfaces and fans knew that the dream match was soon to come.
At Money in the Bank, the two elite superstars performed at the highest level and brought the best out of each other – resulting in a fast-paced yet technical classic. Seth Rollins, since it was his first title defense, naturally retained – but AJ Styles put on a phenomenal showing for himself.
