5 Possible Challengers For Bayley On WWE SmackDown

Bayley won her first world title in nearly three years at WrestleMania 40. The Role Model defeated former Damage CTRL stablemate IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship. She is set to appear on SmackDown tonight in Detroit.

The blue brand has a litany of superstars who could emerge as potential challengers to the WWE Women’s Champion. Let’s narrow down the list to these women ahead of Bayley’s scheduled appearance on SmackDown.

IYO SKY could invoke her rematch clause against Bayley

IYO SKY had some bangers during her reign as WWE Women’s Champion. The former Io Shirai delivered a strong performance against Asuka and Michin on SmackDown. Her title defense against Bayley was, without a doubt, one of the best matches at WrestleMania XL.

Ideally, IYO would confront her former tag team partner tonight to invoke her rematch clause. Who knows, we may get another early Match of the Year contender on the SmackDown after WrestleMania.

Jade Cargill

Jade Cargill partook in a multi-woman match at WrestleMania XL. She joined forces with Naomi and Bianca Belair. The trio destroyed Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane) in an underwhelming match.

Jade would make her RAW in-ring debut the following Monday in a squash match against Chelsea Green. Assuming Triple H knows her limitations as an in-ring performer, he builds her through short yet explosive matches before inserting her into a title program.

That being said, The Game could possibly tease a program between Bayley and Jade Cargill tonight on SmackDown only for Jade’s established peers in Belair or Naomi to interrupt the segment.

Naomi

Naomi came to Bayley’s aid against Damage CTRL on the road to WrestleMania XL. She helped the Role Model despite Bianca Belair’s protest. The EST would ultimately join forces with Naomi and Jade Cargill to take on Damage CTRL on the Biggest Show of the Year.

It’s safe to assume Naomi will be waiting for Bayley to show up on SmackDown as the new WWE Women’s Champion so she could demand a title shot. The Role Model knows she owes the Glow big time for helping her against her enemies.

Bianca Belair could reignite her rivalry with Bayley

Bianca Belair had her reasons for not trusting Bayley on the road to WrestleMania XL. After all, Damage CTRL tried to sabotage the EST’s world title run on multiple occasions. Plus, it was IYO SKY who put an end to Belair’s title run by cashing-in her Money in the Bank contract.

Belair’s stacked resume as well as her bitter history with Bayley could possibly lead to a title program on WWE SmackDown. Realistically, Nick Aldis would set up a number one contender’s match to determine the new challenger tonight on the blue brand.

Tiffany Stratton

You must be living under a rock if you aren’t familiar with Tiffany Stratton. The former NXT Women’s Champion is SmackDown’s newest sensation. Tiffany has received tremendous praise for her in-ring abilities and character work.

Her heel gimmick could make for a compelling feud against Bayley for the WWE Women’s Championship. Let’s see what Triple H has in store for the fans on SmackDown after WrestleMania.
