The road to King and Queen of the Ring begins on WWE RAW tonight. This week’s episode of RAW emanates live from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. We’ll witness the fallout from Backlash France as well as a series of qualifiers for the King and Queen of the Ring Tourneys.
RAW GM Adam Pearce had previously confirmed that all eight men and women’s qualifiers will go down live on May 6. Plus, the post-2024 WWE Draft roster goes into effect tonight. So, without further ado, let’s preview the action set in store for tonight.
Zoey Stark vs. Ivy Nile – Queen of the Ring First-Round Match on WWE RAW
Two underrated workers of the women’s division collide as Zoey Stark takes on Ivy Nile in the first-round match-up for Queen of the Ring. Which of these two women will punch their ticket to the next round? We’ll find out on WWE RAW tonight.
Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega – Queen of the Ring First-Round Match
The first-ever two-time NXT Women’s Champion takes on the inaugural Queen of the Ring. Can Shayna Baszler force her way to win, or will Zelina Vega once again advance in her pursuit of becoming a two-time Queen of the Ring?
Lyra Valkyria vs. Asuka – Queen of the Ring First-Round Match
Lyra Valkyria’s first night as a WWE RAW superstar will see her take on Asuka. The Empress of Tomorrow may not be in the right mood after the Kabuki Warriors’ bitter loss at Backlash France? Who will come out as the winner in this match of epic proportions?
IYO SKY vs. Natalya – Queen of the Ring First-Round Match
Natalya is still reeling from her NXT Women’s Underwound match loss to Lola Vice at Spring Breakin’ Week 2. The BOAT takes on former Women’s Champion IYO SKY in the first-round match of Queen of the Ring.
Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio – King of the Ring First-Round Match on WWE RAW
The lWO and New Day were drafted to RAW as part of the 2024 WWE Draft. Now, two members of these prominent factions collide for a chance to become King of the Ring. Who will emerge as the winner between Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio? Find out on WWE RAW tonight.
Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor – King of the Ring First-Round Match on WWE RAW
Drew McIntyre had some harsh words for Damian Priest following his successful title defense at Backlash France. The Scottish Warriors looks to regain the World Heavyweight Championship he lost at WrestleMania XL. Standing in his way is none other than Priest’s fellow Judgement Day member, Finn Balor.
The first-ever Universal Champion has never been a King of the Ring, but would love to become one in 2024. Will Balor be the first of McIntyre’s victims, or will the Demon rise to advance to the next round in this highly-anticipated qualifier tonight on WWE RAW?
Ricochet vs. Ilja Dragunov – King of the Ring First-Round Match
Ilja Dragunov made his WWE RAW debut in a hard-hitting match against Shinsuke Nakamura after WrestleMania XL. The former Czar of NXT will collide with the One and Only Ricochet in the KOTR first-round match-up on the red brand tonight.
Dragunov says it’s his destiny to face Gunther on RAW? Will the Mad Dragon walk past Ricochet or will it be the other way around? We’ll find out tonight as they go head-to-head on Monday Night RAW.
Sheamus vs. Gunther – King of the Ring First-Round Match
Sheamus and Gunther put on bangers after bangers in 2022 and 2023. The Celtic Warrior failed to come up short against the Ring General on every occasion. He, once again, has a shot at redemption tonight on RAW.
The two former rivals will collide in what is sure to be another five-star classic in the KOTR opening round on RAW this week. Can Sheamus put an end to his losing streak against Gunther, or will the Ring General stand tall after the three count?
