WWE NXT Preview (5/7/24)

Shawn Michaels has booked a solid card for the upcoming episode of WWE NXT. The May 7, 2024, episode of NXT will deal with the aftermath of Spring Breakin’ Week 2. We’ll see some familiar faces return to the White and Gold Brand as well.

Michin vs. Ariana Grace on WWE NXT

Michin (aka Mia Yim) showed up unannounced at NXT Spring Breakin’ Week 2. She expressed her intent to compete for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Ariana Grace interrupted the promo, only to get punched in the face.

Both women are set to collide on the upcoming episode of WWE NXT. Tonight will mark Michin’s first match on her former brand in nearly four years. Who will emerge triumph in his clash? We’ll find out tonight.

NXT Women’s Combine

NXT GM Ava announced a Women’s Combine to determine the participants for the six-pack ladder match at NXT Battleground. WWE hasn’t announced the participants in the women’s combine at the time of the writing.

That said, we could see Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, and Sol Ruca, among other participants, in action in the lead-up to Battleground. For those unaware, NXT Battleground goes down live at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on June 9.

Karmen Petrovic vs. Shayna Baszler on WWE NXT

Shayna Baszler choked Karmen Petrovic into unconsciousness during the NXT Women’s Underground Match at Spring Breakin’ Week 2. The distraction allowed Lola Vice to pick up the win over Natalya.

Petrovic will look to get her payback against Baszler tonight on WWE NXT. Can the Karate Black Belt pick up the win, or will the Queen of Spades prove to be too much for Petrovic? We’ll see tonight on NXT.

Supernova Sessions with Trick Williams

Lash Legend may have caused unexpected turbulence for Trick Williams last week at Spring Breakin’. Miss Legend was seen brandishing an envelope whose contents have yet to be disclosed to the NXT Universe.

Is there something Lash knows that Trick doesn’t? What will happen when the two come face-to-face on the highly-anticipated Supernova Sessions featuring the rest of the Meta Four. We’ll find out tonight on WWE NXT.

Wes Lee vs. Josh Briggs

Wes Lee made his unexpected return from injury last week on NXT. The Kardiak Kid interrupted Oba Femi’s celebration following his impressive NXT North American Championship defense over Ivar of the Viking Raiders. Lee would have a tense exchange with Josh Briggs backstage, setting up a match in the process.

The clash of two different weight classes is set to go down tonight on NXT? Can Wes Lee score a big win in his comeback match and move one step closer to the NXT North American Championship? Will Josh Briggs stop Lee’s momentum before it begins? We’ll find out this week on NXT.

Roxanne Perez (c) vs. Chelsea Green – NXT Women’s Championship

Roxanne Perez retained her NXT Women’s Championship in a triple threat match at Spring Breakin’ Week 1. The Prodigy complained to Ava about not being drafted in the 2024 WWE Draft. Ava reminded her champions on all three brands weren’t eligible for the draft.

We then see Chelsea Green show up to reveal herself as Roxanne’s next opponent. The two will meet for the NXT Women’s Championship tonight. Can Chelsea win her first singles gold in WWE, or will Roxanne prevail?
