5 Things We’d Like To See At WWE Clash At The Castle

WWE Clash at the Castle is set to go down on Saturday, June 15, in Glasgow, Scotland. Five matches have been confirmed so far, and all of them have titles on the line. Before we jump to the gist of this article, here’s the WWE Clash at the Castle card at the time of this writing.

  • Damian Priest (c) vs. Drew McIntyre – WWE World Heavyweight Championship match
  • Cody Rhodes (c) vs. AJ Styles – WWE Undisputed Championship “I Quit” match
  • Bayley (c) vs. Piper Niven – WWE Women’s Championship match
  • Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable – WWE Intercontinental Championship match
  • Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill (c) vs. Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn vs. Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship triple threat match

We may get another match announcement on SmackDown on Friday. All teases point to Logan Paul versus LA Knight for the United States Championship. I still think WWE should hold off on this highly anticipated-match-up till SummerSlam. Why? LA Knight should win his first singles title on the main roster at one of the “big four” PLEs.

Right, enough of my SummerSlam fantasy booking because it’s almost time for this big PLE in Scotland. If you’ve read this far, good, because here are five things (I think) most fans would love to see at WWE Clash at the Castle.

Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn win tag team titles at WWE Clash at the Castle

Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn are set to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship this Saturday at Clash at the Castle. The two women will go up against defending champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair and challengers Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler.

I really hope Triple H pulls the trigger on a title win for Fyre and Dawn in their home country of Scotland. The triple threat rules mean champions don’t have to be pinned. You get the new tag team champions without pinning either Bianca or Cargill.

Otis turns on Chad Gable

The heated feud between Chad Gable and Sami Zayn has turned out to be one of the best things on Monday Night RAW. Gable’s ruthless yet opportunistic mindset has continued to torment both Zayn and the Alpha Academy, especially Otis. The big man is struggling to stand up to the person he considers his friend and mentor.

WWE has continued to tease a turn in the lead-up to Clash at the Castle. Fans loved it when Otis cornered Gable into a turnbuckle on WWE RAW. Will we see Otis finally stand up to Gable’s bullying this Saturday? I hope so. That said, I’ve a feeling Master Gable has some “creeds” up his sleeve.

Joe Hendry makes a surprise appearance

Say his name and he appears! I believe in Joe Hendry!

No, I really do. Hendry is causing quite a lot of buzz on the internet these days. His theme song is a chart-topper. It’s quite catchy if you listen to it. Fans love when he roasts his opponents with parody songs.

WWE seems to have teased his arrival during the Cody Rhodes and Trick Williams segment this past Tuesday on NXT. It’d be great if they could bring him for even a brief appearance at WWE Clash at the Castle given his history with a lot of WWE talents and his Scottish heritage.

He’s scheduled to be in Chicago for TNA’s Against All Odds on Friday, so an appearance in Scotland is not likely. However, stranger things have happened in pro wrestling… maybe the locals will sing his theme song or have some fun with the new NXTNA relationship.

NXT Europe announcement

NXT Europe has been in the works for quite some time. The brand has yet to see an official launch, and WWE hasn’t really provided much update on its progress. That said, WWE Clash at the Castle seems like a really good place to create some buzz around NXT Europe.

Piper Niven recently said that she hopes to see NXT Europe modelled after NXT UK. Niven was a major part of NXT UK before the brand went on a hiatus to make way for NXT Europe. Let’s see if we get an announcement this Saturday.

Drew McIntyre claims gold at WWE Clash at the Castle

Drew McIntyre once again has the opportunity to win a world title in his home setting. The Scottish Warrior was screwed out of the victory at WWE Clash at the Castle 2022. A lot has changed since. McIntyre doesn’t have to worry about The Judgment Day this Saturday because they are barred from ringside.

However, the same can’t be said about CM Punk. The Straight Edge Superstar has cost McIntyre big matches on multiple occasions. The former “Chosen One” says the Straight Edge Superstar might get jumped if he shows up during the world title match. What if this isn’t an empty threat, and McIntyre’s words aren’t just empty threats?

Gallus Boys, maybe?!

WWE Clash at the Castle kicks off at 12 pm ET with the main show set for 2 pm ET. The show will be steamed live on Peacock in the U.S. and WWE Network elsewhere. Wrestlezone will have full coverage of the PLE as it airs.
