The Blue Brand also had a solid week as Kofi Kingston has his title shot ripped away from him, by Vince McMahon again, and the return of Kevin Owens spiced things up!
Owens vs. Daniel Bryan at Fastlane will be solid and it is clear that the top brass has made the call for Kingston to be in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. If The Showcase of the Immortals doesn’t end with Lynch and Kingston holding titles, it will be a massive miss by the E.
The return of Matt Hardy was magnificent and seeing the Broken One back with his brother is going to add some excitement to the tag team division.
But all of that aside, R-Truth almost stole the show with a fantastic defense of his United States Championship vs. Andrade and Rey Mysterio. The three put on a very solid match and Truth continues his well-earned run with the title. His entertainment factor has always been there, and he has never been much more over with the crowd than he is right now. Really is enjoyable to see him week in and week out.
Charlotte has taken the role of the villain as well as she always did and it is working well to involved her in the Rousey vs. Lynch feud. She is a believable heel and the crowd loves to hate her.
AJ Styles moving slightly down the card has hurt him a bit, but a feud with Randy Orton should be pretty solid as both the guys have a great work rate in the ring and the star power to carry a program that does not have a title involved. Hopefully they get a little more time to cultivate it going forward.
Oh … and Ricochet and Alister Black are a tag team now, apparently? Seriously.
