#1: How WWE Handled Miz/Truth Break-Up

The MizFirst of all, I'm a little bothered by the fact WWE is so strict with their rules and policies regarding what wrestlers do when they aren't working shows. I don't smoke marijuana and understand it's illegal, but to me it's no different than alcohol when it comes to the effects of someone abusing it.

I digress. Rules are rules and WWE superstars know what they are and choose to abide by them. For that reason, I'm also bothered by the fact R-Truth wasn't more responsible than this. 30 days off television will probably mean the end of his push upon his return. And yes, I still consider what he's been doing lately a push compared to where he's been the rest of his career.

My biggest issue is how they handled the Miz/Truth break-up. Vince didn't feel they were getting over enough to keep them together. I understand that fine – even if it is his fault – but if recent reports are true and Miz is one of the next in line to feud with CM Punk, shouldn't he have gotten over a bit more on Truth?

Truth will not be heard from now for 30 days after a Skull Crushing Finale on the entrance ramp. If ever there was a time for Miz to go crazy on someone and beat the living hell out of him, that would have been it. Let him get as much heat back as possible if you're seriously considering him as a credible challenger to your current WWE Champion.

Punk is putting over in interviews that he never took Miz seriously as a Champion. Miz and Truth have been less than threatening together for months now. Yet you think fans are going to care about Miz now? Especially opposite someone like CM Punk – a Savior in the fans' eyes?

I'm not loving the break-up in the first place because I feel Miz and Truth still had more potential together at this point than they do individually. With everything else going on heading into WrestleMania next year, I'm not sure there's time or room for Miz to get over to any great degree. However, if that's the direction you want to go in, you need to give him an honest shot.

The abrupt fashion they had Miz turn on Truth Monday wasn't enough. Given the circumstances, I understand the logic, but Miz shouldn't have stopped with one move on the ramp. He should have beat the crap out of his former partner until forced to stop. That way, Truth had a legitimate reason to spend the next 30 days off television and Miz gained as much heat back as possible in the process.

I never saw Miz as a viable star in the WWE – not for the longest time. However, his run as WWE Champion was much better than expected. He has the potential, but he needs a lot of help to be taken serious on that level.

Part of me likes what "could be" in a future Punk/Miz program, but the other part has forgotten he once cared about The Miz in the first place.
